In afternoon trading on Thursday, Energy stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 1.3%. Within that group, Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) and Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (NYSE: DO) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 4.1% and 3.1%, respectively.
